Thruline Marketing, a leading Kansas-based education marketing agency and career enablement company, recently wrapped up their sixth annual company-wide backpack drive.
Every year Thruline employees raise money and donate supplies to fill backpacks for the Olathe school district. In total, the company donated over 170 backpacks worth of supplies this year.
“We look forward to the backpack drive every year because it is a great opportunity for our whole team to work together while making a significant impact for the children and schools in our community,” says Mike McHugh, Thruline CEO. “This year was especially great because as we expand our employee base to include more of those working remote and now an office of 8 in Reno, we are excited to be able to increase our impact to other communities as well.”
Thruline employees dedicate a lot of time to different causes throughout the year through both their charity PTO day and other company events. In addition to the backpack drive, notable events include an annual toy drive for Della Lamb over the holiday season and Be Royal Week, an employee-led fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Next up is Thruline’s Annual Day of Service where the whole company shuts down for the afternoon to volunteer together.
