The Ugly Christmas Sweater Party and Day is both a volunteer-driven annual holiday party and an official day proclaimed by Mayor Quinton Lucas (who attended Operation Breakthrough as a child) and the city of Kansas City, MO. Both the event and the day are dedicated to raising funds and driving awareness to support Operation Breakthrough's mission to help children living in poverty in Kansas City. We encourage you to don your finest, most festive ugly apparel and join us in supporting a great local cause!
This year marks the 15th Annual party which is being planned by a group of independent individuals (including many AAF-KC members) who want to give back to the community. The party has sold out almost every year, and has raised more than $200,000 for Operation Breakthrough with 100% of our profits staying in Kansas City! This year the event takes place on Friday, December 06 at Truman Event Space. VIP admission starts at 7:00pm, GA admission at 8:00pm, and all tickets include open bar (select wells and domestic drafts), tasting tables of KC samples (Nothing Bundt Cakes, Mission Taco, Boulevard Fling Cocktails, J. Rieger & Co., Strange Days Brewing Co., Servaes Brewing Co., KC Cider Co.), jams by Dolewite and DJ Alex Reed, photobooth, holiday-themed games, costume contest, a prize raffle and more!
