Callahan is pleased to announce Kristin Demel has joined the brand strategy and digital marketing agency as retail strategy director. An experienced retail sales driver, Demel expands Callahan’s already robust, unique capabilities for clients.

“Kristin’s retail strategy expertise, combined with data derived from our Intelligence Platform, improves our ability to provide front-end data analysis and predictive data modeling,” says CEO Chris Marshall, “and provides Callahan with another powerful strategic differentiation from other agencies.”

Demel was previously at PetSmart where she was senior director of merchandising & hardgoods, growing the category to $940 million in sales. Before PetSmart, she spent nine years at Payless ShoeSource, and left the company as director of planning and distribution in athletics.

Her retail strategy expertise—including retail strategy creation, assortment, merchandising, and pricing and promotions across brick and mortar and e-commerce channels—is an exciting arena for Callahan’s clients to capitalize on. Demel’s experience with buying, financial planning, forecasting, demand planning, online distribution planning, inventory management and space optimization benefits the Callahan clients looking to grow and maximize distribution.

Demel is the latest addition to a team already executing best-in-class data analysis. Callahan is now positioned to be an even stronger strategic agency partner, driving business results with both sell-in and sell-through transactions, ultimately creating sustainable, long-term profitability.
