How Culture Affects Typography with Nikki Villagomez

January 30, 2020
5:30 PM
Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art • 4420 Warwick Blvd., Kansas City MO

Join AAF-KC and Nikki Villagomez for the second installment of our National Speaker Series “How Culture Affects Typography.”

Nikki’s an author, founder and past president of AIGA South Carolina, and currently, the Creative Studio Director at Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP. She provides an immersive look at the relationship between type and culture in metropolitan areas around the country, and delivers insight into how they affect decision-making processes every day.

In her presentation, Nikki will use pictures taken throughout her travels to compare and contrast type choices based on location. More specifically, she will use submissions from our KC community to drive the analysis and core content of her engagement with us in January.

Share your photos on Instagram and Twitter with #KansasCityType and #AAFKC, but make sure your social profiles are set to public. She will be taking submissions until January 10, 2020!

The event is bound to be a hit for anyone in a creative field, lovers of the Heartland, and designers alike.
