Description:ON A CLEAR DAY, CAN YOU SEE THE FUTURE? Our industry has taken some tough hits. We all feel it and we’re all looking for signs of recovery. For some time, agencies and clients have been working hard to understand the challenges and opportunities presented by new technologies and new behaviors surrounding today’s digital landscape and changing client expectations. Now, coupled with the worst recession in more than 50 years, it seems we’re all struggling to divine not just the future, but the present as well. Have these forces permanently changed the way our industry works? Are there new fundamentals to be mastered? What are the new opportunities? Where are the new pitfalls? How can we navigate these waters and continue to do the work we love? A panel of leaders representing some of the area’s outstanding agencies, design firms and clients will discuss these questions and more in a free-flowing conversation about the future and the steps their organizations are taking to make sure they succeed. SCHEDULED PANELISTS: Mike Swenson (CMO/President, Public Relations, Barkley), Sam Meers (President, Meers Advertising) , Tracie Charvat (Creative Director, Helzberg Diamonds) , Gard Gibson (Partner, Executive Director Strategy & Innovation, VML), and Zach Baze (VP Marketing, AMC). The moderator will be Diane O’Byrne, Managing Partner at Competitive Resources and Adjunct Professor, KU School of Journalism. Thanks to GlynnDevins and Creative Printing Company for their sponsorship of this program.
Notes:ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. All admission at the door will be $25. There is a concert at the Sprint Center on the night of this event.
